reaction 4 canister filter built in UV

We were looking at that filter but our big fish store in Houston said those were not all taht great filtration wise (even though it has a good flow rate). We decided to go with a Ehiem classic 2217 with an exhaust placed uv serilzer for our 120 gallon.
 
it looks pretty good to me, i might try it out for that price. are you sure your local fish store just didn't want to you to buy online, and have you buy one of his so he makes the money? just saying it seems to good to be true at that price to have uv built in and that much media area. but it's worth a shot
 
i have a UV on pond and marine tank and it never gets algae ETC except the 1 for the pond is about as big as an average persons tank they are 4ft each x2
