long time fish keeper here..problem with ick..i got a small 5 gallon fluval edge tank for the kids...keeping a betta and about 5 tetra in there...they all got ick i did the treatments water changes and then completley emptied water and started over...i had black sand then switched to small gravel...all fish died...emptied tank cleaned everything and went the mollys and tetra with black sand...after 3 weeks 3 fish have major ick...where is it coming from..could it be in the sand? im lost ...

The new mollies probably introduced it. Also, what treatment did you use, can very well be the treatment was insufficient
