Just finished reading an article on this years most annoying words ... as released by a Michigan University. Had to LOL when I read that my user name "Mr. Mom" made the list. It's kinda funny as its not something I normally hear at all, other than close friends of ours referring it to me. In the article, it had stated that it was insulting to those fathers that are hands on with their children.
Frankly it started about 5 yrs ago when my oldest son started kindergarten. It was the Mom's themselves who gave me that title. But otherwise I haven't heard that name/phrase in years ... so it was a good laugh when I read the article.
Hmmm ... does that mean I should change my user name? .... Hell no, I'm proud to be a Mr. Mom; and anyone can call my wife Mrs. Dad. She is the bread winner and boss, so I guess it fits.
