There comes a time when one must realizes that even tho you think you know how to do something...maybe you should read the instructions anyway. My time is now!

I am spray painting the back of my new 240 long since I might get my stand tomorrow and can start the setup. Last night I pretty much had it finished with a few good light coats. So tonight I was going to go back over it with another good coating...but tonight I thought I might just put it on a little thick this time to get Good coverage and now im not so worried about drips.

Well as soon as I started some spots started to wrinkle up and I freaked :eek:. It looked nasty and you could see it from looking through the front of the tank...not good. I was worried I wouldnt be able to get it off to fix it...and if I can get it off am I going to be able to see these spots every time I look in the tank...and now I only have gloss paint not flat like I used last night.

Well....I scraped it off with a razor and it was a gummy mess. To let everyone know...gloss and flat paint look exactly the same on glass...and you CANT tell where I made the mistakes from looking through the front of the glass...thank goodness!!!!!

Back of the tank is a different story...but no one will see that.

So I then look on the back of the can and what do I see in black and white

It had only been 24hrs...son of a *****!

Here are some other pics of the wrinkle effect and how it looked after I hit it with a blade and how it looks now. Enjoy...and read the darn instructions :headbang2

Danm that sucks,

But The wrinkles look bad ass.

I think "ventilation" was the problem.......per directions......"Use with adequate ventilation". :D :ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

They do but it was no longer stuck to the glass and 98% of the tank wasnt wrinkled lol

Recoat within 4 or after 36 hours???? haha. So you can't recoat any where in between 4 hours and 36 hours. ROFL. Never seen that before.

i think its saying repaint while its still wet or repaint when its fully dry

Sorry to hear about it. Hope you get it sorted

it says that on alot if not probably all spray paint cans
