Since our last thread took an ugly turn and was eliminated.........I wanted to just have a place for everyone to be able to chime in with any good books you may be reading.

The books I suggested was Unintended Consequences by John Ross and a book that is available on the web called Light's Out by an author that goes by the name Halfast.

Any suggestions from anyone?:D

Hopefully by staying away from touchy subjects we can maintain this thread without fear of reprisal.

The death of J.D. is making me read Catcher again, I havent read that since High School...lol

Anyone ever read, 'Behold a Pale Horse' ?

I'm about 200 pages into Lights Out by Halfast. I'm also reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman which I am also enjoying very much.
Most recently completed books have been rereading John Steinback's East of Eden (forgot how much I had enjoyed this book about a decade ago) and the Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, which I also found entertaining.

'Occupational Therapy for Pediatricians' is a pretty good read. For a dry textbook.

The Daodejing by Laozi is a pretty fun read (its in a verse based structure), but still making you think about life in a way that doesn't force too much down your throat. On the non-fiction side, Escape from Freedom by Fromm is also a really interesting read.

My other big kick on books is sci-fi. Starship Troopers by Heinlein is a blast. If you're into long space epics Chasm City by Alastair Reynolds is definitely a great book to check out.

I second on the recommendations of Haunted and American Gods, although any Neil Gaiman book is awesome.
