Whats going on MFK fam?!!!

I just did some test on my water and they are as followed....

125 gal.
Ammo: .25
Nitrate: 10
Nitrite: 0
PH: 7.0

55 gal.
Ammo: .25
Nitrate: 20
Nitrite: 0
PH: 7.0

I have about 12-15 quarantined feeders in each one... What do you guys think of these reading?? The tanks are in the process of being cycled.

Depending on what yo dechlor with I'd say they are done. The .25 NH3 is usually a misnomer because prime and amquel cause a false positive reading for .25 NH3. Nitrites (NO2) develop after nitrobacter converts NH3 into NO2, and then another family of bacteria convert NO2 into NO3 (nitrates). Under 25 NO3 is acceptable, but with SA fish you want to keep it as low as possible. You lower it by doing PWC...but I'm sure you knew all this.

Thanks Diogenes!!! I was wondering, cause I plan on going to pick up my P's on Saturday!!!! Sounds like I'm good to go!!!:headbang2

Thanks Diogenes!! I was planning on going to The Shark Aquarium on Saturday to pick up my new P's!!!! Sounds like I'm ready to go!!!

Shark Aquarium is a good place to go. what're the stock lists for both tanks?

I was thinking of putting some reds' and super reds' in the 125 gal. and a gold spilo in the 55gal!

no problem at all...

I would do a 10% water change, and stock the tank. I'd test every couple of days after stocking for about a month, but I'm overly cautious, and I like playing with test tubes and reagents :screwy: There may be a bit of a mini-cycle when you stock it. You ever keep P's before?

Yes I have kept them before. So basically do a quick gravel vac and keep it movin'....
