Just thought i'd let somebody know an extremely cheap way to get that nice 'showroom' look to your tank by adding a nice black background. I did this a few weeks ago. I saw some wrapping paper from christmas laying around, so I cut it to size, and painted the back side of it (the white side) with 'stove and grill' black spray paint. It worked very well.

You can see it by looking at my thread in the Photo Lounge. Or just do it yourself, and see how well it works.

Aluminum foil works too, and you can crinkle it up and make caves before you paint it.

I guess I don't see the point. Why paint paper when you could just paint the back of the tank itself?

^ exactly lol

i used to do this all the time with my cichlid tanks.
looked decent enough :)

paint the tank if your gonna paint stuff. why take the time to paint paper, what if you rip it? if you paint your tank its not going to rip and it looks good........ also if you ever want to take the paint off a razor and some elbow grease do the trick

I got a roll of 5% limo tint cheap on ebay and have used it on the back of a few tanks rather than paint.Pretty easy and looks great.
