"REAL" Green Terror

Andinoacara stalsbergi (pictured below) is the 'true' Green Terror and it's pretty rare.

"Silver Saum" look just like the common green terrors but with a white edge to their fins, and they're fairly common depending on where you live. I've only seen one in Miami but I know they're readily available in other cities.

You don't see the "white saum" or w.e., your seeing the silver saum. Gold saum are very common, with the silver saum being occasionally seen. Aequidens rivulataus (now Adinoacara stalsbergi?) is the rare one, imported by jeff a while back, in the photo cacichlids posted.

Yeah I see the difference, the REAL GT has no color on the edge of fins. But then again its the 'Saums' that attract people.

White Saum is Silver Saum, whatever its a hobby given label.

The pearling on the sides of the stalsbergi are also opposite of that of the more common GT. Whereas the common gold saum has pearling around green scales, the stalsbergi has green around pearled scales.

Real GT do have white sometimes on the edge of the fins, the difference is the iridiscent scales in their bodies are actually inverted.
