Hello Y'All,

We've all got big tanks & big fish, but I've noticed most of these big tanks are half empty. No wood, rocks or decorations of any kind.... Nada.

I believe Rocks can make a tank look very natural and give our monster tanks a nice look... and I don't mean lava rock which are pretty rough and gouge eyes and scales from our monster fish.

Any suggestions on where I can get "monster rocks" to put in a 180 gallon or more tank?

Has anyone experimented with "light" artificial rocks that you can make yourself from clay?

Thank You.

Got a River near by?
If so, you're set.
Just boil the rocks before putting them into the tank.

Your best bet would be to find them outside yourself or to visit a landscape supply company.

i just take rocks from my backyard and clean them really well with boiling water and a steel wool brush. they can get pretty heavy though. craft stores and pet stores usually have pretty nice looking artificial rocks that are lighter.

I used on my tank are adobe rocks, I bought it from a garden supply. In there you can have a lot of choices. soaked it for some hours with a lot of rock salt OMHO:)
