Real Plants -VS- Fake.. which is best??

Which is better for pirahnas... Real Plants or Fake plants?? Can someone give me pros and cons of both? Thanks..

real looks alot better but can easily get shreddded up by the P's and can also cause algae outbrakes but that can be avoided if taken care of proberly..fake doesnt really look as good as the real ones but is doesnt come ^^^with all that stuff..

^Pretty much summed everything up.

If your gonna go with real, get somthing hardy like swords and anubias.

i use java fern + anubias plants in mine. they are fine.

If you are willing to invest in a quality light fixture, ferts, co2 reactor, and a little time for caring, then go for it....I did....My pygos actually darkened and became visually more active.....

"Fake and live" . I have a mix Not all live , Not all fake and its a good blend ! I Thank . The P will whip out live plants

i have fake but i love the look of live plants, when i upgrade to a 180 i'm gonna go live plants. just not to siked on spending heavy doe for the lighting but ill prob do it.

well i had fake for a little while. as soon as i saw chunks of it floating/missing, i switched it out for live. as long as the fish are gona be taking bites out of stuff, vegetables > plastic. that and i dont really like the fake look
