In an old atlas I have - I think the Baensch one - there is a gorgeous full page photo of a VERY RED Red Devil with big black lips.
Do such fish exist these days ? Pics please, if you have one or have seen any.
You know I wondered this myself, last night I pretty much asked the same question on another thread labeled "Red Devil Question". I would love to have an actual RED red devil.

Unfortunately, Rapps doesnt have any of those any more. I myself have been looking for a big lipped female to go with my big lipped WC male. So if any of you actually find someone that is selling, please post it.
Yes they definitely do still exist. I actually got some wild caught from Jeff Rapps several years ago. The fleshy lips is a nature thing from them digging through the substrate causing there lips to callous. Mine spawned and the babies did have big lips but they did not turn up at the end and were not quite has fleshy as the parents. I would imagine if they are required to shift through the substrate in the aquarium they may end up with lips a little bigger than what you normally would see.
