I found this picture so post it to seek everybody idea. This is the color that some Thai Tiger extusia told me about Siamese Tiger and this piece look old and even the mascot in Nakorn Sawan where ST is found to be in this color.Nakorn Sawanis in the northen central of Thailand while ST is also found in the eastern Side of Thailand which the river flow from the Cambodia.Since both side is distance away i think there should be driffence in term of color.I think the eastern ST should look like the CT more to banana yellow as we seen in hobbiest have today. The picture still no proof that it s a real ST as we never saw in our own eye that the fish is caught there.Traders will always told what is the best

I was under the impression that the bars on ST were solid and clean on the edges, and on CT jagged as in the picture. i might be wrong though.
Also lighting could be a major factor in the picture.

Can I say the link below show that it is a ST cause the color look gold and orange?

I saw those golden color based ST before in our local fish shop for the past 2 to 3 years back but you are saying they already extinct from the last 10 yrs. I am still quite consufing as I saw personally 2 differents color based ST - one yellow banana and another is golden based. If the above is not a real ST then what could be this ST from? the color is not yellow and orange but golden based. I just wondering!!

I reckon ST and CT can both come in different shades of banana yellow an gold...

I too , like CC, thought that a real disdinguishing feature between ST and CT, was the clarity of the bars. CT has jagged bars but ST has real smooth and clean bars. The first post, first pic really looks CT.

Lighting can play a huge part in enhancing the natural colour of the fish in certain photos.

That ST has some thin bars.

FYI, when widebars lose the black coloration on their bars, it is replaced by the yellow scales, not the black scales. Obviously this fish had a pretty rough life.

I was told that ST and CT can have those jagged bars. Its just a poor grade dat. Tikarmann could tell you if its a CT hes had alot in the past.
