About 3 days ago I spent $60 on a large amount of feeder comets.
My Barramundi had about 4 each.
Then this morning I wake up and every single one the of feeder fish are dead in the feeder holding tank.

What happened? This has never happened before with my feeder fish, and I get them all from the same place.

Just really annoying.

What size is your feeder tank? How many feeders and of what size did you put in it? How is it filtered? What's the water temp in it? Did you test the water?

ammonia spike ??
thats your most probable answer right there.

Do you continually keep fish in the feeder tank so it stays cycled? One or two may not do it, but keeping enough at a time, or not letting much time go by . . . a possibility??

temperature shock from the lfs tank vs. your tank might be an issue, I've seen it happen when lfs keep goldfish in tanks with chillers

could just be bad fish. feeders can easily carry disease, and don't always last long, had that problem a lot when i had my cray and kept feeders for him.
they aren't very hardy and can't handle changes too well.
i agree, very annoying when it happens

probably ammonia spike. Think about it like this: your tank is properly cycled for the bioload you have now. you just dumped in a bunch of extra fish, each producing ammonia. You didn't have enough beneficial bacteria to handle all the ammonia, so it shot through the roof. You are very lucky not to have lost your barramundis! Do water changes immediately!
