really cool fresh water fish?

Hello all Im new to your program and just finished setting up my 75 gal fresh water set up 1. how long do you guys let your tank run before you put in fish .2.whats a good site that sells really cool fresh water fish .

1) I let the tank run until it is cycled.

it might be cheaper if you go to a local pet/fish store if you're buying a small quantity.

WildFya..just curious, can you cycle a tank without any fish or gravel?

It would take longer. The point of cycling is to establish colonies of beneficial bacteria that break down ammonia. You can drop a few flakes in to a tank of water that's got a filter running. The food will decay and over time you will have a colony of beneficial bacteria in the filter.

zebra danios are usually tough enough to survive cycling.Use some material from an established filter to speed up the process.

Make sure its www.aquabid.com. Any other website that doesnt have that domain yet looks like aquabid is a fake. Aquabid IMO is very trustworthy. Same as liveaquaria.
