Just thought I'd catch him in the act. His name is "Butters".

I guess I'm just luckey to get a good fish...when I got it, started eating right away...it eats alot.
When I feed Tiger Prawns, (it's his main diet) it eats between 6 and 8 per day.
He also gets mussels, sprot, and 3 or 4 hikari algae waffels as a suplement.
I try to leave them allone as much as possible to reduce stress.
The dolloi (I have got it for 2 years now)...but it did not grow in the last 3 or 4 months. Had some issues with it but he seems to be doing better now.

p.s. your tank definitely looks great..how big is your tank
When I started out I also had some...,,wood".... in there, but my fish sarted hurting itsef so I had to take it out. this was when he became more active.

Grif - Do you think his activity increase is at all related to stress? (i.e. he's moving because he's looking for a place to hide?) I have a hollow plastic log for my SAL and he uses it all the time, but he has scraped himself on it a few times so I have been contemplating taking it out. I just don't want him to get stressed. Have you noticed any other changes other than higher activity? Thanks.

Hey the tank looks pretty big but how big is it?!
and how big is the fish itself?

also, what's that noise I heard in the background? somekind of filter or something?

My dolloi was just to active...never sat still..just swiming up and down and up and down.
He started eating less...and his skin looked somewhat irritated.
The water quality was o.k. it was the first thing I checked and kept doing.
I think he just did not like the change...from the old to the new tank.

He is somewhat sensitive to stress..I notised when ever I clean out the tank from algae and stuf it would not eat for a day...so I think the move to the new tank was a little to much for it.

He is in my fish room look at the videos of it on you tube. There are a couple of tanks in there !:):):):):):):):)
