Please help me figure this out. I clean my take once a week. I have a 70 gallon take for a year. Up until the last two weeks my tank has never given me an issue, the water has always been clear. For the past two weeks I've had this fog in my tank. I've tried everything. Changed the water, filters etc. And it won't go away!!!!!! Please HELP!!!!!

P.S I have 4 piranahs and an algae eater and the tank is never in the sun!
Thank you

what kind of filters are you running, and how much water do you change when you clean the tank?

Yeah thats what happens when you biological filtration takes a serious hit. Its some sort of bacterial bloom. You have to let the BB stabalize itself again because its not where it should be which is in the filter and other surface areas. This will take time. I also suggest not overfeeding and i bet your ammonia levels are high. Do a water test and give it time to settle. what the above said.
don't touch your bio filter media that's where all the action take place. if you need to wash the bio media, wash in tank water and not tap water.
you can also add some API stress zyme or Seachem Stability to help speeds up the development of beneficial bacterias.
also you need to make sure your filter can handle the amount of bio load, over filter is never a bad thing.
