Im going to buy materials this weekend and still unsure about the bracing. Tank is about 600 gallons, its 8' long 4' wide and 30" tall. I am using 3/4" birch and pond shield. Ive seen several threads and videos but not exactly how to brace it with 2X4s. Im good with the bottom and top, worried about the sides, front and back. What distance should a place every 2X4? Should I assemble the plywood together then build the wall supports or vice versa? What about the front with the glass panel, any bracing needed. If someone can help me understand exactly what to do I can get the lumber and start going to work, thanks

usually joists are placed every 16" on center for a house, for a tank I would place however many fit evenly spaced in the area. So if 16" doesn't work evenly do 12" or whatever you find appealing. Some people dont even use 2x4s as a frame so again research what you want to do. For the glass front there are a few ways to do it, you can build 2x4 frame and push the glass up against it with silicone or you can build a frame with a ledge for the glass window. Another option is to have a gap between two pieces and kinda slide the glass in the space. So many options with these tanks just look into what you want to do
