it's an orino all right, but i could already tell he wont be green. there's plenty of gold orinos out there. ive bought/sold tons of orinos that didnt develop the color i wanted. some will end up a goldish/brown color, some an olive green, and some even a metallic green. if you want the green guys, i wouldnt invest anymore time/money in that guy :)

here's what i mean. pretty butt ugly IMO. could end up looking like one of these guys :)

Being relitivily new to the peacock bass game Jose I just have not seen one this gold it is on the opposite color spectrum and has the metalic look to it . I am going to grow him out further just to see what the outcome will be .By the way this is one from RW that was supposed to be Interm ....

Possible Hybrid?
I really don't know what he is for sure and never will it does look orino to me but i have never seen this gold myself ..Jose knows his Orino but i still think i'll hold on to this guy and see what happens,,

As with any of these special fish, only time will tell. Could end up to be sweet looking, or something you just don't like. Like me, I was going for the greenest of the green, so anything that didn't develop the colors I liked I got rid of. His gold color is interesting though. Just gotta play the waiting game :D

and these guys, which in my tank were an unusual silver/gray color with just a slight mint green tint.
