Thats a nice flounder fish. Don't know anything about them, but i can asume that he is going under because of the bright lighting.

Agreed, its a flounder. They naturally hide themselves in substrate, regardless of lighting since its mostly instinct if anything.

i believe its one of the many species of freshwater sole. I've got one too, and was told its from asia. Never found out much about it, but i went through hell with it... problem with plecos eating it, and they were really difficult to get feeding. Not many people seem to have them. How bigs yours. Mine has kinda maxed out about 12cm.

i have got it from a shop in HongKong's fish market.
i guess u need to search online or ask your local fish shop.
