So I downloaded the new realplayer and it lets me download videos off of sites such as youtube.
but is there any way to get those videos into my iPod?

I checked my "My Videos" but I can't open the files..

thanks what is that though?
once i get it what should i do?

flv is the flash video format youtube uses for it's videos along with many other video streaming sites. iPods can't read FLV files so you need to get a program to convert the FLV into something the iPod can read. I've messed around with a program called tubehunter, it does conversions automatically, except if you're just downloading music for some reason it won't convert the flv's into mp3 even when you tell it to. Oh well, it still works for videos.

Xilisoft is video converter, is what i use to convert DVD's to a cell phone format to watch movies on my helio phone BTW i had to turn off automatic settings when i used itunes for putting movies onto my ipod, just a heads up in case that's blocking something.

when you convert the video, does the quality get lowered?

well yea, but ur playing it on a smaller screen so cant tell as much. Have heard it takes a few times to get the exact settings right, as vid and aud tends to be out of sync til you perfect it
