in front of my cichla tank,IL
so i pulled out and rearranged the live rock in the nano today once i finished i turned the lights off so the fish wouldnt be as stressed out also the water was a bit cloudy due to the sand getting kicked up. that was around 9pm or so and just turned the lights back on 15min ago to see how the fish are doing saw them all except for my sixline wrasse. so i took the flashlight to check all the spots where i think he might be and then saw something that looked like a clear whitish bubble thing between two pieces of live rock and noticed the wrasse was inside it and breathing heavily, so i freaked out and ripped that thing open so the wrasse could swim out. the sixline wrasse is swimming around fine but his colors are a bit dull now. has any one ever seen or heard about something like that? cuz i dont know what the hell that was. im worried because the sixline wrasse is one of my favorite fish in there along with my flame angel

That is very weird... never heard of such a thing. Hopefully someone with more experience can identify what happened.

As I suspected. Some wrasses are capable of making a mucous bubble to sleep, or hide in. (Especially when stressed.)

Basically your fish was terrified, and tried to protect itself by blowing a mucous bubble.

Things should return to normal after a time.

No worries man, glad we were able to work it out right away. I hope your fish makes a quick recovery.
