And I got what I belive is a Pimelodus Blochii! I have been looking all over for one, and think I may have found one...it was labeled as a Angelicus? I codl be wrong will post pics for ID and to brag somemore..:) OH! Also go a new hood for the tank so I don't get another jumper.

ALL HAIL THE CATFISH HOARD!:nilly:

Nice pic ups man. Can't wait to c the pics of both. Glad to here you got some tank security. How is the pond construction coming?

Just looked it up, and it is a Pimelodus Angelicus (Spotted Pim), oh well, still cool. And as for the pond construction have the liner, will be getting the rest of the supplies this weekend (plywood, screws, pumps, heater, ect.) Will a quiet one 3000 (780gph) be good enough for the pond or should I add another of the same size?

For ponds usually you want a pump that is at least the same gallonage as the pond, it's best to go with as much gph as you can get tho so your water stays clear. Right now I have a 600gph pump on a 680g pond and I get cloudy water issues with just a few koi.

Looking forward to new pix of the catfish crew! :)

Well it's a 400 gal pond about, so it should be fine, the filtration system is going to be a 4 tier storage tower with holes drilled into the bottom of each drawer and filled with scrubbies and bio balls, shoud work pretty good. Will have pics up by the end of tonight, my phone is dead and that is the only way I can get pics up.

I don't suggest the drawer filtration idea. My previous pond used it. Great filter but evaporation is higher and it smelled sense all of the filter material is exposed to atmosphere. I posted pics of my new setup that is 100x better in ur thread heaters

Also if there is ever a power outage for more than a few min u will loose all your BB.

Maybe you could make a sand/gravel filter? They have good bio surface area and they double as water polishers...had one on the pond when it was outside and worked great. Easy to clean if you make them the right way.
