Was working at the pet store today, and noticed we switched all our Marineland heaters over to Aqueon. Was told there was a recall. Then recieved this from PetSmart:
Dear Valued PetSmart Pet Parent,

Marineland has issued a voluntary withdrawal of the Stealth PRO Submersible Heater (100, 200 and 250 watt). The product is being withdrawn due to a quality issue.

If you have this product, please stop using it immediately and take the following steps:

1. Unplug the heater from the wall to stop the flow of electricity
2. Let the heater cool for 15 minutes
3. Remove the heater from the tank

Please bring the product to your closest PetSmart for a full refund or exchange. Replace the product with a comparable heater as soon as possible to maintain the temperature of your aquarium. A PetSmart store associate can help you select the right heater for your aquatic environment.

If you have questions about this withdrawal, please call Marineland Customer Service at 800-526-0650 or 800-432-6986.

Apparently if you take it into PetSmart, with or without receipt, they will exchange it for a Aqueon Pro of same wattage.

If you mail it into MarineLand though, they send you back a Visitherm of same wattage. Its because of the Visitherms that I got the Stealth Pros though, so really don't want another one.

Also, I'm not sure if Stealth Pro 300watt are included in the recall or not. If someone can confirm this it would be awesome!

So it Dosent matter how old or if the broken/leak just take it to petsmart?
Cause im running 3 Steath pro heaters ATM

I have 4 of them, but I'm not living in the states right now.. I got mine from liveaquaria, I might try and call them and see if they will exchange instead of mailing them back to marineland, I would rather get a Fluval E series and pay the difference.

I think there are couple of threads on this already. But, I'm quite sure that Petsmart will accept any Marineland stealth regardless of where you bought it or have a reciept or not.
