Hi guys.

Whats a reccomended tank size for Temensis. Tems are the biggest bass I eventually want to own, and because I should be making a DIY tank soon, I thought I needed to know.

Thanks.

Personally I wouldn't bother doing it in anything smaller than an 8'x4'

I was origonally thinking of doing an 8'x4'x2.5'. Thats what was reccomended by people on another forum. I might go 10' length since it will be more than just Tems as far as pbass is concerned. :naughty:

yeah i would definitely go with 8' by 4' for a minimum but if u can get it any longer it would be even better

remember that if your planing on doing a DIY plywood tank that your limited buy a sheet of plywood .. aka 8 feet .. since there is no way to make the tank structurally sound butting to sheets of ply next to each other ..

the only way to change that is to frame the tank then use the ply not as structial support but only as a lining inside the framing

Thats how I was going to build it, make a firm frame out of 2x4s and use play wood as a liner to hold the water in. Will also be using 1" stuff I think for more strength, but we will see what the DIY guys have to say in that section.

10x5 since you can.:D

Since when can I? :grinno:

I wouldn't recommend 8x4, but it would probably work for 2 or 3 full size tems.. Just take it slow and make in 10x5. You'd be way better off.
