Recently moved to Phoenix. Where to fish?

So just moved here for work. Brought my tackle but left the Jon boat with my parents in MD. Anyone know of good shore fishing spots in west valley?

Lake Pleasant, if you can make the drive, salt River and the lakes on it. And Tempe town lake

Check out the canals,a lot of them have channel cats,avoid "urban fishing areas"because they use the stupid"put and take "strategy and because of this they never have good fish.

Some of the golf course and neighborhood ponds can be good if your allowed to fish them(make friends who live there).
