This is Awesome
Makes me want a lot more different kind of cichlids now
Left side towards middle there's a bright yellow one with black on chest and mouth what is that one called ?

Don't know if this was ever shared. If not, maybe worth stickying.

The photo of N labridens yellow, was taken when it is in spawning dress.
They are not quite that bright yellow all the time.
But it is worth the wait, and I have found keeping cichlids just to experience spawning colors (even if only for a few weeks) is what its all about.
Here is the normal coloration of N labridens "yellow".

I have found them to be an extremely sensitive species to stress related illness if not given pristine conditions.

Definitely sticky material.
It was very interesting to see cichlids thought to be closely related now aren't.
Aren't the "Mayans" still being sorted into different species based on certain locations?

I believe they are now considered a species complex.
