Thinkin of updating my 125 gal tank lighting. All I have is just a strip of
floresc bulb. My tankmates include a jar, oscar, JD, parrot, and red hook. No plants just driftwood and gravel. Can someone post a link or pics of their favorite lighting? In need of some sort of 72" set up.

Thanx

Hello!

I would go with two 3' lights. You can get this fairly reasonably at most any store that sells tanks/equipment. You could DIY something too...3' light fixtures are available at Home Depot, etc.

My 150 is 4' long with a 4' fixture. My 55 is 4' long with two 24" lights. I really don't notice one being better than the other.

Good luck :)

I would get some T5 HO. They really bring out the tank and make the fish pop.

A single 72" fixture is serious cash.

Look into two T5 HO 36" fixtures. Should be more than enough. Even two regular double tube strip lights would fit the bill.

I just threw two Marineland Double Bright 36" LED fixtures on my 125 yesterday. More than enough light for me.
