I want something thats really bright, & also i arent going to be growing plants so that isnt a factor :) just looking to see what other people have got because I'm never happy with mine, its never bright enough. Probably because I never have enough lighting. so what do i need? :x

Its really confusing at a pet shop i saw a massive tank, bigger than mine currently, around 3-4 foot width and it had one hanging light over it with about 2 tubes in it and im like WHAT ARE THESE USING? lol

T5HO

I use the marine land double brights on my 72-36-27 But I don't like really bright lights on my tank. You might like some T5HO better. I would also recommend aquatic life, we sell a ton of them at the store and never hear any complaints about them.

That was likely a metal halide. If you like that look you might want to look into LED flood lamps. It really depends on what look you're going for. LED and halides can both give you a nice "shimmer" effect that makes it look like sunlight is rippling through the water.
I'm installing all LEDs on my tanks at some point. I have one of the doublebright fixtures right now but I'm going to likely be going the the flood lamps on eBay.
