Well tried to do a DIY wet dry filter..... Disaster !!! I finally accept that I am no handyman.

So, which wet dry filter would you recommend ? Looking for one with dual drain as this tank has dual 1" drains. I have Eshopps wd-200cs for a 180 gallon tank, not totally pleased as the sump area is too small to put an Eheim 300w heater. Also, has to do some alterations as the drain had that splashing sound into the sump.

Looked at CPR aquatics CR3000, expensive but I can sell fish to empty a 75 gallon tank to help finance this purchase. Any other ones ?

Thanks.

I am a huge DIY advocate, mostly because I didn't want to shell out the cash for a CR3000. I did some serious research about sumps and found it to be the best for the money. BUT, and hear me out, a DIY can be made for about the same price by an acrylic guy, or even way cheaper if you do it yourself....hear me out....I bought a used 40g acrylic tank and modified it....even made heater brackets for two Jager 300s. The sump is accommodating 1800gph.
Anyway, the CR3000 is the best.. in my opinion...good luck to you!

Thanks. BTW, I already purchased this CR3000. Quite impressed as the acrylic is actually quite thick, 1/4". I really like the design of this CR3000 as it has that extra sump area that I can hide heaters etc. I wish I am better at DIY projects....but oh well.

Maybe one day I will be able to bite the bullet and get a nice and shiny new sump....but then the challenge will be to NOT modify it!!!!
