Have you tested your water?
Yes
If yes, what is your ammonia?
0 ppm
If yes, what is your nitrite?
0 ppm
If yes, what is your nitrate?
7 ppm
If I did not test my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be asked to do a test, and that water tests are critical for solving freshwater health problems.
Do you do water changes?
Yes
What percentage of water do you change?
41-50%
How frequently do you change your water?
Every week
If I do not change my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be recommended to do a water change, and water changes are critical for preventing future freshwater health problems.
I’ve read quite a few of the threads regarding Ich treatment but I can’t find information relevant to the combination of inhabitants in my tank.
- 35 gallons, freshwater
- planted
- freshwater fish
- plecos
What might work for plecos might kill my plants, and vice-versa. Salt could really impact my plants and raising the temperature past 77° for a few weeks would hurt my marimo’s. I’ve started applying Tetra Ich treatment Tablets at half strength since yesterday, a water change of about 30% completed prior to application. Any further recommendations to make treatment more efficient or speedy?

I recommend while doing wc's during treatment vacuum the substrate.

I have done the salt treatment many times. To me it is the least impact to the fish. I have removed plants and put them in glass containers during the treatment.

I’ve used Ruby Reefs kick-ich with plants loaches and pleco along with several different species of cat fish.
It claims to be invertebrate safe as well (never tested that myself)

My only issue is that my plants are incredibly important to “creating space” between my dwarf Gourami’s. I’ve thought about removing the plants but removing them risks creating stress between the fish.

All medications are poisons (or they wouldn't work) so if you have delicate plants or senstive fish species, the safest option is an oversized UV filter with overkill water turn over.

Run it as soon as you notice white spot until a few weeks after the white spot has gone. Then clean and pack away until it is needed again.

I’m not too sure what to do anymore, I expected my (6) cardinals to pass as I’m aware they tend to be fragile, but majority of my chili rasboras (5) passed, and 2 out of 4 of my dwarf Gourami’s don’t seem to be doing well. I’m also worried for my two plecos.
Ive been applying the tetra ich treatment tablets since two days ago, and I turn off the filter and do a 30% water change before applying. The water parameters worry me too, as I noticed yesterday the pH shot from 7.0 up to 7.6 and I have no clue why. Any recommendations?

If you have carbon in your filter, you have essentially done nothing as carbon will pull all the meds out. The meds you have been using i have never known to be effective in any manner.
