I have acquired a lust for some/a nice catfish. Hopefully, I'm gonna be getting a new tank here soon. I need a nice big cat and 1 with loads of personality. Maybe a cranky catfish, territorial but not bloodthristy. Preferably gets no bigger than a foot. And oddball is a + but definitely not high up their in my preferances. Although I haven't done any research YET on this species, asian upside-down cats look pretty cool. Any more ideas? I'm also considering a four-line pim, south american bumblebee cat.

I miss Miss Piggy (featherfin catfish)

I change my mind, foot long would be nice but limited space so not an option. Unless its an extremely slow grower. 10" at the extreme maximum. Preferably 5"-8" in size. No pictus cats btw. Been their done that.

Wow just from reading this I feel like your on a sugar high.....

I have kept bumblebee cats before, several species. They are easy to keep and take care of. Just make sure you get the correct species for the size of tank you plan to keep them in. There used to be a chart somewhere on the inter-webs about how to tell them apart but I can't seem to find it. Anyways I kept two different South American species and one Asian species. They hide a lot and won't be very active during the day, they are nocturnal.

Synodontis is another catfish I also keep. These are easy to keep and can have an attitude. They can hold their own against larger fish and get along with most fish. They are territorial. They will beat their own kind up, I kept two males in a tank once (no females), that was a mistake. there are a lot of different species and they are all different sizes so again make sure you figure out what size tank you got and what species best suits that tank.

I like sun catfish, but that would be to big if you want 10 inches or under

Well sun catfish are nice and all but your right, too big! I am reading that they grow incredibly slow though. Still not interested though.
