I am gonne upgrade my filters for my 55g tank...I am looking for overfiltration.....I prefer a hang on filters..........What brand would you guys reccomend???

probably the emperor 400 would be best, plus another smaller filter if you want to be on the safe side.
I current have a AC 70 for my 30g tank...I love it but i just wanted to try something else....I guess I will go with the 110.....anyone know websites where I can find it cause at LFS they dont have it...
ac110s are great..
out of my penguins, emperors, and the acs.. i prefer the ac110s the best.. just gotta watch out with the weaker fish.. the intakes will suck them up and wont let go..

I dont use the carbon or the BioMax balls...its cause the BioMax nets always seem to rip open and the carbon well I just dont need it....So i use three Sponges is the inserts...this is ok right?
i use sponge and or scrubbies in all of my hob filters (as well as some filterfloss for polishing).. never had a problem with any of it
fyi you can get about 26 scrubbies in a ac110 without the blocksponge thats included about 15 with the block sponge (both counts are without the "baskets")
