I hate the fact that I love L190 but they keep dying on me...
The last one got starved though I put in zuchinni, meat pellets and a good mix of food.

Are there other nice looker that
1) Eat anything and non fussy
2) Big enough in a monster tank, at least 6"
3) Can be one piece or two... non territorial
4) Not expensive in Singapore

Many thanks

LOL from what I saw when I was there there's not much that IS expensive in Singapore!!! All your fish seemed amazingly cheap (except for the flowerhorns) and the selection was amazing.

I'd try figure out why your L190's keep dying before buying another plec, do you have wood in your tank for them to eat?

If you're going to keep plecos you will need some sort of real wood in your tank. They like to chew and I think you rather have them doing so on wood rather then your tank walls.

Don't know if you had driftwood in his tank as you didn't mention it, but in case you didn't know Royals need driftwood in their diet. So that maybe the reason he starved, if there was no driftwood in his tank for him to consume that maybe the cause of his demise. Can I ask did you ever see him eating the veggies you offered? And you say he starved, how do you know it was starvation? How long do you usually have them before they perish?

As for my recommendation for a Pleco other than Royals I've always been partial to L-24/Red-fin Cactus Pleco, L-95 Orange Cheek Pinecone Pleco and L200/Subviridis Green Phantom Pleco. Though I have no idea how expensive they are in Singapore around here the Green Phantom is the most reasonably priced of those I mentioned.

Will L95 or L200 grow out to be big size? I need it to be able to grow to at least 8".

Thanks guys, please keep the suggestion coming! I am visiting LFS this weekend!!!

L95s get BIG! I had 2 that were pushing 16 inches. L200s get about 7 inches when fully grown. They both would be awesome plecos.

Yeah L-95's do get pretty big planetcatfish has them maxing out around 15-16 inches, L-152 can hit upto 19 inches. Can I ask you bro, did you have an actual L-95 or L-152? Just asking cause I'm having a hard time sourcing one. I'm getting a lot of vendors passing L-152's as L-95's as a matter of fact I just got stuck with a second L-152 that was sold to me as a L-95. :(
