I currently have an 85 gal tank w/ Undergravel Jets powered by 2 Rio 2100 pumps and a Rainbow Lifeguard Fluidized Bed Filter rated for up to 300 gallons. I currently have an AquaClear 110 with only sponges equipped, but I'm having some bad experiences with it and want to switch to a canister filter. I was looking at the Eheim ECCO's.. but I'm not completely sure if it's what I should go with..

I simply want a good filter strictly for mechanical filtration that is quiet and efficient and was wondering what you guys thought would be the best for my situation.

Any and all suggestions welcome, thanks

ive always been happy with my xp3....ive heard eheim is gud but have never used it.

your 110 can work as well if you get some floss filter media and put it above the foam and put some charcoal on top. That will polish the water very well. I also have a fluval 440 and I put some floss in it so it polishes the water as well. The 110 does more water per hour so it works faster

I've been having problems with my ac 110, got some sand stuck in the rotor chamber that is impossible to get out, sick of buying cheap replacements for 10 dollars a piece, so I'm looking for something that will do a better job.
