Hello All! This is my first post!

I am wanting to add a few very active bright middle/top swimming fish to my tank. Wanted to see what is recommended with the fish and setup I have.

I currently have a 100 gal tank. I have 3 black skirt tetras, a senegal bichir, a silver tipped shark, a black ghost knife, 2 gourami's, and a common pleco. They vary in ages as this is the third tank I've had, and a few have been with me since tank one! My gourami's used to be very active middle swimmers, but since I upgraded to the larger tank, they prefer to hide in the extra plants/rocks that are in the tank. I'm just wanting my tank to not look empty towards the middle and top.

They look GREAT schooling together in their silver color!

I would recommend a group of dwarf neon rainbows or any of the other commonly available rainbow species (turquoise, new guinea red, boesemani are my faves) and some Congo tetras.

You have alot of options for a tropical community. I really like congo tetras for top. They have opalescent/iridescent color with flowing fins and they school. Nice middle swimmers would be some bala sharks although they do tend to be skittish. You could also do roselines for middle/bottom. They're less skittish, more peaceful compared to balas and have great colors too. Both balas and roselines school as well.
