Ladies and Gents,

Just got a 155g Oceanic bow front complete with matching black canopy and stand. It's been painted by previous owner and not too fond of it. What type of paint to use & method:

::: Canopy and Wood Stand Pros & Cons
:::
1. Spray Cans? Like to avoid unevenness.
2. Paint Brush? I'd like to avoid the brush marks.
3. Rollers? Done it on a wall, but not on furniture.

Would like to avoid the painstaking trial and errors. Looking for MFK'ers that have accomplished this feat. Thanks!

I'd like to avoid stripping the paint off and a complete sanding overhaul. Wanting to just sand down the imperfect spots and repaint over. Seen posts on the DIY Stand projects which required multiple attempts and clumping. As all, would like to get good results on the first try.

Here is a pic of the project which is going to house my 27" silver aro.

If you're just painting black over it and patching the bad areas, I think you'd be fine with some light sanding the bad spots and then spray paint.
