Morning ,
First post here.
I currently have 7 - 1” geo redhead tapajos in Qt right now.
I will be getting a large main display aquarium in the next month or 2 for these guys.
The set up will contain sand substrate, wood, and plants. Mainly anubias, ferns, may to to sneak in an Amazon sword while they are small to set its roots up.
also making this a community set up with rummy nose tetra, red/blue Columbian tetra, large corydoras, and some angels.
I want a sump so I can hide any equipment like heaters.
I’m looking at either a 5’x2’ or 4’x2’ aquarium.
With a 4’x2’, would this provide enough space ?
or should I just shoot for the 5’?
I think I know the answer and should dish up the extra dough, just looking to see what others provide.
I hear a 75 gallon people are saying are sufficient for 5-7 redhead tapajos, plus some smaller fish.

Hello T TBout86 ,
Welcome to MFK!
If you have the means to get the larger 5'x2' I would go for it. It just seems with that extra foot opens up many more fish options. For 7 adults they may be a little cramped in a 75g as they get 6" - 8". They could however stay in a 75g for quite a while being only 1". You have the right idea using sand as your substrate. Geos love sand. They are very nice looking fish also, with vibrant colors. Nice pick up. GL
