Recover "Hidden" Folders On My Computer

OK, I made a folder on my computer "hidden" but now I can't find it anymore!

How do I recover it?

What I did was simply right click on the folder, went to properties and selected, "hidden".

Assuking you have WindowsXP )Pro or Home, does not matter)

either go to your control panel , and go to Appearance and Themes, select Folder Options

when that box pops up, click on the View tab, in the lower portion of the box, you'll see Show Hidden Files and Folders, select that , and you'll see your hidden folders, you can always uncheck it at a later date to re-hide the folders


to unhide the folder you're working on, after all of the above steps, simply right click on the folder again and uncheck the Hidden attribute, click Ok, and all should be good.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy!!!!!

Just go to where you had the folder last, for example, your C Drive, then up top go to tools > folder options > and the tab at the top of the thing click View > then under the heading, Hidden files and folders select, view hidden files and folders

When your done i suggest changing it back ^_____^

LOL It's not porn. It's just a folder full of pictures of wallpapers that I didn't want my little cousin to see (it's nothing explicit, but still has alot of exposures).

if you REALLY wanna hide some folders, you can STREAM MEGABYTES behind small 1 kilobyte flat text files, and its difficult to find even for the experienced sleuth, usually, the only person that can find the hidden file at tha tpoint, is the person who put it there or an experienced sleuth with a purpose :-D

WindowsXP does neat stuff MOST dont know about :-D
