I added 2 pBass to my tank a week ago and within 2 days they got fin rot. I am not very sure whether they had it when I got them in or not but when I noticed it one of them was having it to a significant level. The 2nd one was getting it mildly.
I changed the water 50% and added salt 1 tsp/5 gallons (220 g tank). Since then I've been changing 30% water every other day with proper amount of salt. I see the fin rot is not continuing in the most affected pBass. He is eating properly. The mildly affected one is fully recovered. The tank has been under salt treatment for about 6 days now.
How long should I continue the salt treatment? Can I start adding freshwater only now so that the salt effect will start to fade away or should I maintain the salt concentration for another 4-5 days?
