if that is LxWxH you will be ok for a couple years.... just over filter it and keep up on your waterchanges
I agree. Make sure u dont add alot of other fish cause then u'll be doin a ton of water changes if u add to many
naw man.. Thats too small. Maybe for a juvi. But sill alittle small. Ive got some motoros right now. That I imported 5months ago. They went from 5inches to 9inches in only 5 months. If you feed them good. They will outgrow that tank very very fast. Please do the ray a favor and get it a large tank. I think the LAW should be atleast a 6x2 footprint for any ray.
I agree on the 6x2 as minimum for adults, but retics grow a lot slower than motoros and generally don't get quite as large (although admittedly few have been kept successfully long enough to determine exactly how big). I think that tank would be fine for a year or two, possibly more.
I hear ya that they grow slow. But the more room the better.. Its funny how you always see people asking the minimum tank that a ray could go in.. Why not do better than the minimum? It just seems that rays do alot better in a larger tank.
