Most workplaces would ideally throw away the paper that failed to see the boss’ creative idea become a strategy, however, the creative folks at Japanese company Oriental would flush their creative ideas down the drain. Quite literally, though. The machine called White Goat is created to convert your normal paper into toilet paper. To get a nice toilet roll in 30 minutes, just pop in about 40 sheets of paper and wait while it is dissolved in water, thinned out, dried and wound into a toilet roll. Priced at $100,000, this 600kg machine is expected to go on sale in Japan later this summer to save up to 60 cedar trees annually and of course, keep up with your company’s environmental commitment.

At only $100,000 it's a great deal too! At 30 minutes a roll it could produce 16 rolls in an 8 hour shift! At that rate it would only take 24 years or so to break even (figure $1 a roll for the t.p.), not including water or electricity costs.

^ Only problem is within 24 years, there will be a lot more newer and more efficient models being released meaning you'll probably never actually make back the money... but at least you'll still be helping the environment...

But i wonder what quality is like, some how after watching the video it doesn't seem like a nice soft toilet paper, but more like the stuff you find in a public toilet...

1) Will you still be helping the environment? What about the fuel used to generate the electricity to operate it? What about the ink laden water going down the drain? Where does the paper ultimately go?

2) Maybe there is a Charmin upgrade? :D

hahaha, well now that you've broken it down like that it's just depressing

Not trying to start an argument here, but you still need all those things to make toilet paper anyway... although this machine probably uses up a heck of a lot more electricity to produce low quality toilet paper???
