Red Algae takeover

My 34gal. tank is currently being overrun by the fuzzy red algae . I'm doing to treat it with a copper compound since breaking down the tank and cleaning it isn't an option. Will any of my plants suffer from the treatment? I have jungle val, wisteria, red ludwigia, java ferns and anubias nana.
