Red and Green aro

Hi to all. This is my very 1st post here in MFK. I just want to ask because back here in my place (Manila Philippines), LFS are selling RTG's and green aro. well i still dont have the budget for a RTG and besides if ever this will be my first aro since i started with this hobby way back hehehehe dont want to gamble my money for an RTG yet. Im just a little confused because some of the LFS here are selling malaysian RED and malaysian GREEN aro for the same price. P.3500 (US $1 - PHP P48) Im quite skeptic. maybe they just saying that its a red but in reality its a green aro. by the way the only difference i can see from the two is the tail. the tail of the red aro that they where selling has ofcourse a red shade. they both have papers thou. I dont have any picture of the aro that i was refering to. sorry for that. and lastly If ever i'll own one soon he will be staying with my two spotted gar. they are still small around 7.5-8". thanks in advance guys.... great website!

Find a reputable seller and try to ask a friend to help you. Also you can ask them to scan the aro tag and see it matches the cert. I would go for an RTG to start even though its a bit more.

No. all asians come with cert if they are farm bred.

hey guys.... thanks for the immediate reply. first of RTG here is like X5 more expensive compared to the green aro. they sell at around 16000-18000 phil peso so most likely its around $375 compare to $79 for the green. also my concern is that this will be my first purchase of aro.. i dont want to buy a rtg just yet although alot of the LFS here in phil (specially in cartimar here in manila) they have display thanks that has RTG's some have malaysian golds too... man the color just amazes me.

My guess is that the red aro that they where selling is probably a poor bred of red aro. if im not mistaken red aro has this level thing right? sorry for the ignorance im quite new.. hehehe.

also regarding with the ID tags im not sure if these lfs have scanners. some reputable LFS here dont have green aros they just sell high backs, X-backs, and RTG.
