Red Aro in NYC!

The thought have been nagging me for quite a while. I just got back from NYC and i have visited the Brooklyn Aquarium - first of like WOW they had a fully grown red aro there (see pics below). then on closer look ... somehow or rather i did not get an impression that the fish was very impressive (nice color and all but the shape seemed ... off? errrr non-uniform ... rather thin) and it was very lethargic (not so perky)... plus possibly with a mild gill curl =( The set-up it was in was not particularly inspiring either. Am i alone in this impression?

Btw, the RTC (three feet?) in Central Park was pretty impressive (see below) + cool set-up (see below also) ... though it seemed lonely by itself

Looks good, looks kinda old as well.

Good be the reason why it is so "unperky". But look closer at the lower stomach section it does look uneven and "thin"?
