Red Arowana questions..

I got a red arowana and I was wondering if I fed it frogs or toads from outside would it be ok or would that make my arowana sick? Some people tell me to feed it frogs and toads from outside because there are alot around my yard and they said it would be good for it. Also my arowanas back fins are rotting a little or someone told me it might be burning away b/c of pH level or something. What can I do to help fins restore? What is good pH level for red arowana? Any help or suggestions are very much appreciated. Thank you.

Water changes with stress coat will help restore the fins. About the frogs and toads, I think I would pass. Just stick to the large night-crawlers/earthworms that you can catch outside.

Forget the frogs, you have no idea where they have been or what they could be contaminated with. Who gave you the idea that pH causes fin rot? If the fins are rotting, you need to start changing your water more frequently.
