Red Bay Snook/ Dats

Who here keeps Red Bay Snooks and IT Dats together? I am looking for a trio of snooks to go with my 5 ITs. Anyone have any worries about this mix? My ITs are 4-6" and the snooks will hopefully be around 5"

Should be fine. Snooks are aggressive only towards themeselves and smaller fish. If anything they will eat all the food u throw in first. This might be used as a good way to train ur dats on pellets if not already.

Dats are not on pellets but they eat frozen food. I have 2 that are starting to stabilize but the other 3 still hide and stay black. I am hoping that with the snooks maybe they will feel more comfortable and come out. I have had them for 1 1/2 years now.

I added 4 IT's and 3 pbass to my 450g yesterday which has a snook, jag, midas, black aro, and to motoros in it.

All seem to be getting along well so far. The cichlids still chase each other around on occasion, but nothing major. The cichlids didn't even pay attention to the additions.

That should be a nice combo, plus give you some more color in the tank too..
I'm, thinking of grabbing some Dats again too, plus a couple KKP's for some bright red color..
