not a high maintenance species. rather peaceful for Central American cichlids, but will eat anything smaller than them, they have huge mouths.

They actually have some at the local petsmart which is really weird. Its like the most expensive fish in the store, $30.

They get big and have large mouths.

very true, went to a LFS the other day and say what looked like a snook tail sticking out of a 3.5" snooks mouth

here is a pic of the one i had. mostly peaceful but mine when confronted wouldnt back down. he would show hes not to be pushed around and my more aggro cichlids would leave him alone.
