I posted this in General Aquariua but I think I might get better feedback here.

I purchased this fish from an LFS who had him since he was 1/2", right now he's about 3". The LFS I purchased him from is a reputable store but they weren't quite sure what he was. The told me they thought he was a red devil hybrid but I'm not sure exactly what he is. Another MFK member thinks it might be a red bay snook. I've never owned a snook and don't know much about them so I have been looking around. From what I've seen I think they are right and he is an oddball red bay snook. What do you guys think?

I had to have the little guy because his color was so oddball and he's got an awesome personality. He eats like a monter. Last night I fed his tank which includes a couple of pictus cat's and loaches. He was swimming around stocking up on pellets. He swam up to the glass, looked right at me and spit out two cichlid pellets, a carnivore pellet and a sinking wafer that I feed to my loaches

RD/Midas.
A really nice looking creamsicle @ that.
I've seen(read about) pix of RSB & they don't turn red until they get bigger.
Easy way to tell if it's a RSB, they way it eats.

I bought him for $1 if you believe that. He had been at the shop for about a month and the owner was getting attached to him but nobody ever wanted him. I fell in love with him when I saw him. The guy was about to take him home for his own and was happy he finally found a good home so he sold him to me for $1.

Thanks a lot guys
