red bellied pacu question

my cousin called me up and told me that he got a little rbpacu around 1.5-2inches and he asked me wat he can feed it at the size it is right now.
does any one have any suggestions?

anything, flakes pellets, also maybe bloodworms and as a treat, dieced up apples

im not gonna tell him to sell it now he just got it 2day so it would of been pointless to buy it and he wants to keep it for a while

I understand what you're saying people are just letting you know that Pacu's get BIG....REALLY FAST...so just make sure your friend is prepared for what type of fish he has. B/c alot of people wait till they get big and then have trouble finding a home for them, while the fish suffers in an inadequate aquarium. Just trying to help...

another question he said its not eating anything right now he tried some sinking spectrum thera pellets and some flakes is this normal for the first few days until it gets settled in?

Yes. It can take a couple of days to settle and then become an eating machine.

pacu's will eat anything, when i had a black pacu it was about 12" that thing loved feeder mices, i trew in feeders it gulped 3-4 at once, and as advice just like other fellow members, that pacu can grow very fast so just tell your cousin what hes getting himself into
