Hey you guys just want to know how i should make my 90 gallon tank setup be like for the Red Bellied Pirahnas...How many can i keep for life in their? Well i think its a 90 im not really sure but i measured it a 6'x3'x3'.How many gallon is it? And then you could tell me what the setup should be like for them. Thanks! =) They:headbang2

oh ok....could i use a Fx5 canister filter with a 30 gallon Wet/Dry filter on the tank? And will that be enough for the bioload of the 10 pirahnas? I think ill add lots of hiding spots like x-large pieces of Driftwood like about 7 of them and lots of plants all of the tank for them to hide in.Some caves and stuff like that. What are some tankmates that you could put in their? and i know that you can't really put anything with them but i heard that you could put a school or shoal of Exodons...but how many.....and like 2 pairs of Black Convicts were also mentioned to us about them able to be with pirahnas like the Red Bellied Pirahnas

That is 2 best filtration there. that would be enough for your tank.

Yes!.. no need to be worry about it.

No tank mate..piranha live with piranha (pygo only) other will become food soon or later.

i heard that you could put a school or shoal of Exodons
I would just put the exodon with them self...piranha will eat them.

like 2 pairs of Black Convicts
I also have 2 pair of convicts in my set up with mixed pygo. still alive for 6month now. but don't be so happy because their will become food if I don't keep my pygo will fed.

If I would you I'll set up my tank like natural amzonish envoriment. 1-2 small wood, lots of live plants, lots of room to swimm.

with your tank i would put a mix pygo in there.

2 red
2 caribe
2 tern
2 piraya....2 of each kind of piranha in there for life.

what type of sand should i use? i dont like gravel since i have to gravel siphon it all the way through and for sand all the matters just stay on top which could easily be taken out.

depending what type and kind of sand you want.

-CHEAP
Home depot got a $5 a bag of 25lbs(i think) get about 4-5 bage until you got atleast 1" deep. With home depot sand you MUST take your time cleaning them. Rinse them out very very well before you add them to the tank. I you don't you will regret it and take a very low time to settle down.

Pool sand are best, easy to clean and rinse but cost more then home depot. having it without headach.

Are you sure about the dimensions of your tank? A 6' x 3' x 3' tank is well over 400 gallons, which seems that would be hard to confuse with a 90g tank. If it is that large it will be quite impressive being well aquascaped and 12-15 RBPs
